TOYOTA IS USING in an unauthorized manner SLAUGHTER ENGINEERING'S INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY REGENERATIVE BRAKING SEE OPEN LETTER TO TOYOTA CHAIRMAN AND UPDATE BELOW Posted 20 May 2006 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ CONCLUSIONS AND RAMIFICATIONS
1. Toyota's unauthorized use of our personal intellectual property -- regenerative braking in their new 2007 Camry Hybrid and other Toyotas-- is just another of Slaughter Engineering's successful efforts to serve Mankind in an exemplary manner. In the past and currently our successful efforts include but are not limited to the following:
2. Toyota's use of our personal intellectual property, regenerative braking, is a mixed bag. On the one hand, it is an unauthorized act but on the other -- Toyota, unlike any other auto manufacturer -- has recognized the value of our inventions, in this case -- regenerative braking -- and is intelligent enough to comprehend the value to the the public and to the sales of their vehicles. Conceivably, had they not used regenerative braking in their new 2007 Camry and other Toyotas, there is some question we would be providing this valuable asset to Mankind at this time;
3. As a U S Armed Forces Officer in the Army of Occupation of Japan for a year starting soon after the end of hostilities, I found the postwar Japanese people to be very gracious, kind and honorable and will assume the same qualities apply to the management of Toyota until they, themselves prove otherwise. By referring Toyota management to this Website, we will request that they be honorable in this regard and provide commensurate remuneration to Slaughter Engineering for their use of our intellectual property, regenerative braking, in their current and future production of vehicles so equipped;
4. The concept of regenerative braking is just one of the new high efficiency concepts incorporated into our super high efficiency NEW CONCEPT ENGINES. There are many others. Since Toyota as well as all the other auto manufacturers are aware of and presumably have kept copies of these concepts PLUS coupled with the ever increasing cost of fuel and cost considerations in general, we are of the opinion that it is inevitable that one or more of the auto manufacturers will incorporate NEW CONCEPT ENGINES into their production;
5. NEW CONCEPT ENGINES: A) Are super high efficiency and will achieve at least 60 and conceivably, as much as 100 miles per gallon; B) they will be one fourth the size and weight of today's piston engines; C) they will cost the auto manufacturer less than one fourth the cost to manufacture as compared to today's piston engines and; D) will as a result, provide Mankind with improved vehicles, at a lower cost, more reliable and more fuel efficient -- all at the same time: substantially reducing our dependence on foreign oil; materially reducing atmospheric pollution and; decrease the green house affect due to engine pollution by at least 50 percent;
6. As an incentive to the auto manufacturers: A) first to Toyota: if you, Toyota Management, properly and immediately compensate Slaughter Engineering for your use of our intellectual property -- regenerative braking -- in your production efforts, then there will be no charge whatsoever from Slaughter Engineering for the use of New Concept Engines; B) to all other auto manufacturers: as it is very important to us to provide SUPER HIGH EFFICIENCY NEW CONCEPT ENGINES for the immense benefit of the Public and the environment, the charge from Slaughter Engineering for your use in your production will be cut in half.

23 MAY 2005: THE FOLLOWING OPEN LETTER IS DIRECTED TO THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION 1, Toyota-cho, Toyota Aichi, 471, JAPAN
Dear Sir:
Earlier today, we sent a letter to you with a very special gift and, among others, requested that Toyota "without any further delay, proceed to fully compensate Slaughter Engineering for Toyota's use of our intellectual property --- regenerative braking. Otherwise, Toyota must discontinue its use." To that we must now add: TOYOTA IS REQUESTED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT SLAUGHTER ENGINEERING IS THE INVENTOR OF REGENERATIVE BRAKING, CERTAINLY NOT TOYOTA.
We find this to be necessary due to the great misconception in many articles on the Internet incorrectly giving credit for inventing the concept of regenerative braking to Toyota which is absolutely wrong. Toyota most assuredly knows the fact that Slaughter Engineering and only Slaughter Engineering invented regenerative braking, not Toyota.
Following is a typical example of an article on the Internet improperly giving credit to Toyota for the concept of regenerative braking:
THANKS to the author of this article, but the credit for inventing regenerative braking and the comment of "ingenious" does not apply to the Toyota engineers. It goes to Slaughter Engineering and not the Toyota engineers who copied it from information sent to Toyota for consideration, not for copying and claiming as their own. Anyone would agree that there is hardly anything so unacceptable and disgusting in this World than someone stealing the ideas of others and claiming them as their own.
Mr. Chairman, please proceed to ACKNOWLEDGE THAT SLAUGHTER ENGINEERING IS THE INVENTOR OF REGENERATIVE BRAKING, CERTAINLY NOT TOYOTA. And as stated in the previous letter to you: "without any further delay, proceed to fully compensate Slaughter Engineering for Toyota's use of our intellectual property --- regenerative braking. Otherwise, Toyota must discontinue its use."
Sincerely,
Slaughter Engineering
VISITORS: We will keep you posted of developments:
5 June 2006: Nothing yet. But based on our experience with a wide spectrum of postwar Japan Japanese people who we dealt with and found to be very gracious and honorable -- generals, colonels, privates, kamikaze pilots, chiefs of prefecture police, drivers, geishas, you name it - we expect Toyota's integrity and honor to surface at any moment now.
